Process Follow-up System for LKAB’s Experimental Blast Furnace

This process follow-up system was developed for LKAB and takes massive amounts of process data,
calculates mass balance and charge statistics. Data is used for follow-up of the results of current
charging practice and for planning of the continued production experiments.

LKAB is using the system for its Experimental Blast Furnace in Luleå. This furnace is used for
various pilot scale production experiments and as such depends heavily on measurement data to
evaluate the results of the experiments.
