Maintenance System for the Royal Swedish Navy

Located in the Stockholm archipelago, Muskö Naval Dockyard is one of the Swedish navy’s major
installations and home to a sizeable fleet of warships. Per naval specifications, all engines and
individual engine parts are carefully tracked throughout their lifetimes.

Every component such as cylinder heads, crankshafts and pistons are monitored according to
geographic location, hours of service and wear. Total tracking is essential.

Kobolde & Partners has developed the system that Muskö Naval Dockyard is using for managing the
maintenance of engines in the Navy’s surface vessels and submarines. The system processes and stores
both economic and technical data and has been in daily use by the Navy and managed by Thyssen Krupp Marine for more than 20 years.
